FACILITIES

The site is situated in a seven and a half acre site of woodland and meadow. There are two main camping sites divided by a wooded area.

The larger site is suitable for up to 60 campers and the smaller for about 20 campers.

Both sites have water stand pipes near by.

A permanent BBQ area is situated on the right, halfway down the track from Main Hut to the Meadow.

A campfire circle has been created in a natural ampitheatre that includes timber sleeper seating for the traditional campfire.

A main building with large hall, leaders room, fully equipped kitchen and toilets.
The main building is suitable for indoor accommodation for up to twenty youngsters and their leaders.  There is a fully equipped kitchen, with cooker, microwave and fridge. The toilets are for use only by the group hiring the building.  In addition it has full heating and all services are included in the hire charge.  Smoke alarms and fire extinguishers are standard.

A smaller building, (the Vulpine Hut), with kitchenette and lounge area.
This is a 11m x 2.7m timber building with a small kitchen equipped with freezer, fridge, electric cooker, stainless steel sink and storage cupboards measuring about 2.7m sq. The rest of the building is a lounge area with table and chairs. Ideal as a storage/rest room for camps on the adjacent green, or as a first aid / admin. point for larger camps.

Separate brick built toilets/shower block with accessible facilities.
The toilet block houses two electric showers with separate male and female toilets and a disability accessible toilet with built in shower facility.  An initial stock of 2 toilet rolls per toilet is provided.  If additional stock is required this must be proved by the group.

There are wash stands with hot and cold running water for washing up cooking pots, utensils and general cleaning.  Washing up liquid and cloths are not provided.
